The Ramblings of No one

Emptiness fills my soul
The nothingness begins to consume me
The things that used to occupy my time
Hold my interest no longer
Slipping off the ledge,
I grab for the only thing solid in my life
But it’s slippery and hard to grasp.
As I hold on as long as I can,
I’m praying for the sun to come out.
Feelings of helplessness overwhelm me.
The sun comes out momentarily and just as my
Rock starts to dry out, here comes the rain again….

I am nothing
I have no soul, feelings, or personality
I’m empty and dark
I speak, but am not heard
I love, but it goes unnoticed
I feel, but nobody cares
I cry, but am not seen
I touch, but it is not felt
Nothing begets nothing
