Imagine! members --

We've been creating a series of weekly events for Sunday evenings, using our clubhouse Gumbie Cat Hall. (Hence the series title, Sunday Evenings with the Gumbie Cats.) So far, we have had MangaManX's philosophy discussion, Beforum Afterforum, and have scheduled a reading group (imagine.reading) for this coming Sunday, March 27. And we've been planning to make each of these an ongoing monthly event, with Beforum Afterforum on Week 1 of the cycle, and imagine.reading on Week 2.

But that leaves Week 3 and Week 4 up for grabs. Many ideas have been batted about, but none have really grabbed our collective imaginations. So what comes after philosophy and literature? Fashion shows? Improv? Storytelling? Writing workshops? Home mic karaoke? Current events discussions? Glitching demonstrations? Apartment tours? Wild and crazy dance parties? We have no clue. We hope you have one.

Please make suggestions, and discuss the ones listed above. What would bring you into Home on a Sunday evening? What can we do, that nobody else has done?

Our current thoughts:

Week three is imagine.comedy, dedicated to all things funny. My plans for the first meeting are to share jokes, and to discuss possible improv and flash mob events

Week four is (unless we can think of a better name for it), a discussion of video games, TV, movies, music, and all other forms of media and popular culture.

What do you all think?

I have the script. I have the set. We have plenty of talented actors in this group. Sealwyf has the camera. Let's make a video!!! The running time for the space skit is 10 minutes if we use text bubbles for the lines. Obviously, it would take about an hour to shoot and more time to edit it down to 10 minutes running time. But I would love to see us do it. If any of you have not seen the script, I can email it to you.
