PostSubject: Costume Party   Tue Feb 22, 2011 10:00 am

It has been suggested we have a public costume party as our first event on March 12th.

Lets nail down the specifics so we can post in the calender, a poster made, and maybe some PR from HSM.

Event: Costume Party! Come in your favorite costume. Would like to stream audio for the party. Can have many ads for group in the stream, graphic and audio. Can spam stream address in text during event.
Date: March 12
Place: ?
Time: ?

Gah! I find I have concert tickets for March 12. Had forgotten about that. But if that's the best date, I can come late. Concert is at 7 PM, should be out by 10, I would think. Give me half an hour or so to get home, and I should definitely be online before 11 PM.

We may want to pick a place that has music, for those who can't stream audio. So, Central Plaza, Red Bull Beach, SingStar. Anywhere else with decent music? CP has the advantage of lots of people. SingStar is sort of a "meat market" atmosphere. Red Bull is not very populated, but that may be an advantage if we generate a largish crowd on our own.

If we don't need good ambient music, we have more choices. Would personally vote against extremely laggy spaces (MuiMui Ship, Magic: the Gathering).

Just random thoughts. I guess the big decisions are 1) music? and 2) ready-made crowds?

We can do it the friday prior. March 11th. Any news on the fate of CP? Will it be restored? CP is best choice, if it's not a war zone.

I'm reasonably sure that CP will be restored once KZ3 has shipped, probably this Thursday. Cross fingers, knock wood.

No word on what's in this thursday's update?
They spent alot of time and coin on that CP...I'm sure they're gonna milk it.

Roof-party in the Playground would be fun. There is a long tradition of those. Cantina is fun as well. I don't much care for MotorStorm. Does Scorpio's have music?

I don't care for Motorstorm either. Scorpios has music. I was thinking stage in Playground, standing cross the front with Alpha Tees.

I'm good. Now we have to decide where to publicize.
